- About Me
Working as a Jungian psychotherapist, Integrative Counsellor, healer and Reiki Master, and Thought Field Therapist means I work holistically. Every part of you is included in therapy – mental, physical, emotional and at the soul level. My focus is on you and what you bring to therapy. You will have plenty of time to talk and to be listened to. The initial session is to explore and understand what you would like us to work on together and for you to decide if you would like to work with me; and also for me to see if I am the best therapist for you. Once we are working together you will have plenty of opportunities to discuss how things are going for you, whether you are starting to feel better about yourself, and if you wish to continue.
I believe we do contain everything we need to know – whether we carry that consciously or unconsciously. When we get in touch with both conscious and unconscious motives and how they manifest as behaviours are we able to be our true selves. Part of our personal journey is to discover who we truly are. I don’t believe in just working with your presenting ‘symptoms’ but to go on a journey of discovering who you truly are, then you can lead an authentic life – this I call Soul Work.
I have an MA in Psychotherapy and Healing and a Level 4 Integrative Diploma in Counselling and have worked in several agencies counselling people bereaved and dying, taking referrals from the local psychological services, including people feeling suicidal, people who have been sexually and violently abused, including rape, people with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, suffering domestic violence, people with anger management problems and relationship problems and more. I have also been in private practice for six years.
I have been a healer for 30 years and am experienced in working with people with physical illness and mental pain, and those seeking meaning in life and asking spiritual questions. I am National Federation of Spiritual Healers trained and a member of The Healing Foundation.
I work from my home in Ashford, Kent. All the therapies I offer are also available online.
- What I Offer
Jungian Psychotherapy, Integrative Counselling, Spiritual Healing, Reiki, Thought Field Therapy. Each of these therapies can be offered on their own or in combination. To go deeper within ourselves I offer something I call Soul Work – this allows a process of deep connection to the Self, re-integration of lost parts of ourselves and maybe deeper connection to everything that is.
- How it Works
Talking through what is troubling you gives so much more than the immediate relief of speaking with a friend. Airing your concerns can help enormously, however, returning for further talking each week facilitates deep learning as you process these discussions outside of the therapy room. Realisations will come to you during the weeks and you will have a deeper understanding of your concerns and situation. However, sometimes just talking is not enough and this is where Healing and Reiki can offer a different approach to re-integration and understanding. Thought Field Therapy is an excellent tool for processing trauma and you can use this outside of therapy once you have learnt the routine of tapping. All of these in combination give you a multi-pronged approach to self-development that involves every part of you: mind, body and spirit.
