- About Me
I have come to the world of practising therapy later in life than I intended. I had to pass up the chance to take my place to train as a midwife in my 30’s due to circumstance and dedicated the next 25 years to raising my family, whilst maintaining an interest and fascination for all things main stream medical as well as complementary. I have suffered much of my life from anxiety and low mood so understand how the mind can affect the body and vice versa and am no stranger to the couch. Nearly two years ago I became involved with the Arbonne botanical vegan range of health and wellbeing products and hence the mindful holistic as well as scientific route to what we should put on, as well as in, our bodies. I came to the Therapists Network quite early on in its life and through that involvement and my friendship with Reiki Master Linda Bishopp, became attuned to Reiki II, shortly after that undertaking a Swedish Massage therapy course with Stacey Purton at FastTrack in September. Combining these two disciplines enables me to offer holistic, nurturing whole body treatments that are both calming and envigorating as required, using wonderful pure luxurious massage oils. Once I am a little better established I plan to return to training in specialist HydroTherm oncology and advanced lymphatic drainage massage therapies, an area of massive need but sadly under served. A long journey but a very happy therapeutic destination for me.
